Needly privacy policy | Perfect Universe

The short version. Needly stores your household's lists, tasks and posts so every member of that household can see them. There is no advertising, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracking, and nothing is shared outside the households you joined.

What data the app processes

Data	Why
Email address and password	To create and secure your account. The password is handled by Firebase Authentication and never stored by us in a readable form.
Display name	So other members can see who added an item, bought it or finished a task.
Households you belong to, and who administers them	To group content per household and to enforce who may rename or delete it.
Lists, items, tasks and board posts	The content of the app; synced so every member sees the same thing.
Invite codes	To let a new member join the right household.
Push notification token	To notify you when something in your household changes.

The Apple Watch app

The Watch app does not talk to the server at all. It receives the lists from your own iPhone over Apple's WatchConnectivity, which is a direct link between your two devices, and sends your tick-offs back the same way. No account credentials and no network access are involved on the watch.

What the app does not do

No advertising, and no advertising identifiers are read.
No analytics or attribution SDK.
No access to your location, contacts, calendar, photos or health data.
No selling, renting or brokering of data.

Who your data is shared with

Inside the app, content is visible to the members of the household it belongs to. If you leave a household, you stop seeing its content; entries you already contributed remain with the household.

Outside the app, the only recipient is Google (Firebase) as our processor (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging), plus Apple for the delivery of push notifications.

How long data is kept

Content stays until it is deleted. Any member can delete items, tasks and posts; an administrator can delete the whole household. Deleting your account in Profile → Account removes your account and your personal record. Backups held by our infrastructure provider may retain copies for a short period before they expire.

Security

All traffic between the app and the server runs over TLS. Access to your data is enforced server-side by Firebase security rules: a document can only be read or written by the signed-in accounts it belongs to, so another user cannot reach your content even if they know its address. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.

Children

Needly is a family app and children may well use it on a parent's invitation. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no external links to content, and it collects nothing beyond what is listed above. An account is created by whoever installs the app; for a child, that should be a parent or guardian.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to receive a copy in a portable format, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on it. Exercise any of these by writing to support@perfectuniverse.cz — no account number or form required, just tell us which app and which email address you used.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting how existing data is used will also be announced in the app.
